With one stroke, Ferruccio Lamborghini made Enzo Ferrari look foolish and his cars appear obsolete. Lamborghini beat Ferrari to the punch, building the world´s first mid-engined supercar and the first with a quad-cam V12 engine.
Only three years after Lamborghini started making cars, the company produced the most exotic supercar the world had ever seen. It was as advanced as it was stunning, with its 4-liter V12 engine mounted behind the driver.

Milestones
1966. Lamborghini stuns at the Geneva Motor Show by unveilling the 400 GT´s replacement. The Miura is styled for Bertone by a rising star in the design world, Marcello Gandini.
1967. Miura P400 production gets under way and 475 are built before the car is updated.
1969. The Miura S is introduced with the engine tuned to produce 370 hp and torque increases.
1971. The S turns into the SV with even more power, 385 hp and an improved transmission, which makes the power easier to use. The last and best of the Miura line is the SV. The top speed is over 174 mph, and drops the 0-60 mph time to 6.8 seconds.
1973. The world oil crisis help the end of Miura production.
